Answer: Games don't care what drive they're on. They run netter on an SSD compared to a normal hard drive. Better here meaning faster loading times. But if that's the C drive or D or H or W, doesn't matter.

It will ask where to install a game, and you can choose to either use your C drive, “Create new steam directory in D:” or “Install on D:” if you have done option two already.
